Find out exactly where AI can help your business, in two days.
An AI readiness audit is a short, structured engagement where I review your business, data, and workflows, then hand you a written, prioritised map of where AI actually applies, what it would cost, and what to do first. Built for founders who know AI is relevant and do not yet know where.
Why this exists
Most AI advice a founder hears is really a pitch for one specific tool. A vendor shows up already convinced their product is the answer, before they understand your business. This runs the other way. I spend two days on your business specifically, I score every idea honestly, including the ones that do not survive contact with your actual data or team, and you get a document, not a sales call dressed up as one.
How the two days work
- Day oneI learn your business
Three to four hours together, in person or on a call. I walk through how the business actually runs today: the team, the tools, the data you already collect, and the parts of the week that eat the most time or feel the most repetitive. No AI jargon on my side, no need to arrive with a shortlist of tools on yours. My job on day one is to understand the business, not to sell you anything.
- Between the daysI map where AI actually helps
I take what I heard and map it against what AI can and cannot reliably do today, not what a vendor's pitch deck claims it can do. Every idea gets scored on effort to build, cost to run, and what it is actually worth to the business if it works. Most businesses have three or four genuinely good opportunities hiding in a much longer list of things that sound impressive and would not pay back.
- Day twoYou get the roadmap
A written opportunity map, in plain English, ranked by impact and effort. For each opportunity: what it would take to build, whether it makes sense to build custom or buy an existing tool, a rough cost range, and what to do first. We go through it together and I answer every question you have, including the ones about the ideas that did not make the list and why.
Who this is for
- ·You know AI is relevant to your business, but you do not know where it actually applies, and every conversation with a vendor turns into a pitch for their specific tool.
- ·You have looked at a few AI tools already and could not tell which claims were real and which were marketing.
- ·You want a second opinion before committing budget to a build, from someone who has shipped the systems, not just advised on them.
- ·You run a business with real operational depth, not a single obvious automation, and want someone to actually look at the whole picture before recommending anything.
Who this is not for
- ·You already know exactly what you want built. Skip straight to a scoped build conversation, that is a shorter and cheaper path for you.
- ·You are looking for a course or a set of generic slides. This is specific to your business, built from two days spent on it, not a template.
- ·You want someone to build first and figure out the strategy later. That is how most AI budget gets wasted, and it is the opposite of what this is for.
What it costs
A single fixed fee for the full two day engagement, agreed on the intro call once I know roughly the size and shape of the business. No hourly billing, no surprise invoice at the end. If the audit leads into a scoped build with me afterwards, the audit fee is credited against it. Book a call below and I will give you a number before we start, not after.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI readiness audit?+
An AI readiness audit is a short, structured engagement where a specialist reviews your business, data, and workflows, then delivers a written, prioritised map of where AI can realistically help, what each opportunity would cost to build or buy, and what to do first. It answers the question 'where does AI actually apply here' before any money goes into a build.
Do I need to know anything about AI before we start?+
No. Most people who book this know AI exists and suspect it is relevant, and that is exactly the right starting point. Day one is a conversation about your business, not a technical briefing. I ask the questions and translate what I hear.
What do I actually walk away with?+
A written opportunity map: every viable AI use case I found, ranked by impact and effort, each with a build-vs-buy recommendation and a rough cost range. Not a slide deck of generic AI trends, a document specific to your business that you can act on immediately or hand to a team to scope.
Is this the same as your scoped build service?+
No, it comes before it. A scoped build assumes you already know what you want built and prices a specific outcome. This audit is for when you do not yet know what the right thing to build is. Many clients move from this audit straight into a scoped build on the top ranked opportunity, but it is never a requirement.
How is pricing structured?+
A single fixed fee for the full two day engagement, agreed upfront on the intro call once I know roughly the size and complexity of the business. There is no hourly billing and no surprise invoice. If we later move into a scoped build together, the audit fee is credited against it.
What happens after the two days?+
You keep the document regardless of what you decide next. Some clients take it to their own team to build. Some come back to me for the build. Either is fine, the point of the audit is that you make that decision with a clear picture, not a guess.
